How do I know if I have endometriosis?
Women with endometriosis often have painful periods, pain during intercourse, or pain during urination of bowel movements. Endometriosis can also be "silent" causing no outward symptoms.
Endometrial tissue
can attach to and sometimes penetrate the reproductive organs. Endometriosis can cause obstruction of the fallopian tubes leading to infertility. Endometrial tissue can travel throughout the body and has even been found in the lungs and brain.
