IVF Success Rates

IVF success rates vary among infertility clinics for many reasons. Experience and expertise are a major contributor to success rates, and physicians such as Dr. Shaykh have many years of experience.

It is usually not possible to directly compare success rates between fertility clinics. Some clinics carefully screen their patients, often denying IVF to patients who fail the Clomid challenge test. Since these patients are unlikely to become pregnant, this practice artificially increases success rates. Dr. Shaykh does not deny treatment to anyone but thoroughly explains the changes of success.

Younger patients are more likely to become pregnant and some infertility clinics have a disproportionate high number of these patients. Again, Dr. Shayhk will treat older patients who have a chance of success after explaining the probably of having a baby and the donor egg program.
